Dude – Stop taking it to extremes. I agree with you on stating opinions. No one is demanding preferential treatment. I just don't think they should be kicked out if and when knowledge of their orientation becomes known. That's it.

I was in the infantry (with a LOT of time in the field) for over 11 years. So yes I do understnad the conversations that happen in the field. I also understnad a lot of folks 'live together' without marriage.
Had the conversattion you mentioned when I was younger.
